  The MasterCard Foundation launched the fully financed Mastercard scholarship For Africans program to assist in funding the education and preparation of young Africans to become outstanding leaders in the future. A grant program called the Mastercard Scholarship Foundation helps minorities and underrepresented youths in Africa and other parts of the world. Young individuals in Ghana and around Africa who possess academic talent but are struggling financially can enroll in a top-notch university program thanks to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at KNUST. The program gives its participants the chance to acquire comprehensive training that equips them to drive social change. University of Ghana suspends 4 former executives of Commonwealth Hall for defaming VC

Four former residents of Commonwealth Hall, University of Ghana, who served as executives of the Junior Common Room(JCR) have been suspended from the University for a period years each for violating rules and regulations of the University. Management, in a statement on the suspension, explained that the affected students in August 2022 organized or allowed the organization of several meetings at the JCR of Commonwealth Hall, thus providing a basis for the authoring and publication of false, reckless and defamatory statements against some senior officers – Vice Chancellor, the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs) – and against the University itself. The statement noted that the punishment meted out is consequent to “a complaint lodged against the affected students,” and that “the Disciplinary Board for Junior Members conducted a hearing and established a case of misconduct contrary to the University of Ghana Statutes 2011 (as amended) and the University of Ghana Regulation...
